Club Code of Conduct

Members Code of Conduct (IFC Policy: IFC 001)

All Club Members of the Inverloch Fishing Club Inc shall be bound by this Code of Conduct.

Members have a right to:

  1. Be treated fairly, equally and with respect by the Management Committee and all other club members
  2. Socialise in an environment free from all forms of harassment and discrimination.
  3. Privacy and confidentiality concerning records, documentation and any other communication containing a member’s personal information, unless consent is otherwise provided.
  4. Be informed and actively involved in all club events and offerings.
  5. Voice their opinions and suggestions to the Management Committee and for those opinions and suggestions to be carefully considered by the Management Committee

Members are expected to:

  1. Treat other members and guests fairly, equally and with respect and courtesy.
  2. Behave responsibly and ensure they conduct themselves in a manner which will not injure the reputation of the Inverloch Fishing Club Inc., its events, organisers, participants or sponsors.
  3. Not physically, verbally or sexually harass, or bully other club members, guests or participants in club activities this includes outside venues and social media such as Facebook, Tic Tok etc
  4. Report any inappropriate behaviour of a member to the club management committee for action and follow up.
  5. Abide by and uphold the Constitution and the Code of Conduct.
  6. Pay their membership fees on time and notify the Club’s Membership Officer of any changes to address or other contact details.

Members Must Not

  1. Gain financial advantage from club activities
  2. Misuse or misappropriate club assets
  3. Use the club logo or portray themselves as representing the club except on business authorised by the management committee or in the normal course of their duties as a club officer.
  4. Take part in club events where they are interacting with or supervising children other than their own family without having first obtained a “Working with Children Check”

Breaches of this Code of Conduct:

The club constitution prescribes the procedure for dealing with a member who does not behave in accordance with the terms of the Code of Conduct.

Any member taking part in an event who does not adhere to the standards of behaviour expected of a Club member, as described in the Code of Conduct, may be asked to remove themselves from the event.
