Activities

It is important to understand that we are a new club and still in the process of developing a regular calendar of fishing and social activities. This means that any new member joining the club can have a real input into the development of the club.

  • In the short period since its establishment INVY Fishing has conducted Women’s Fishing Clinics in a co-operative arrangement with the Inverloch Community House and intends to develop an annual program aimed at encouraging young people and people of all abilities to access recreational fishing.
  • INVY Fishing members have also held several ‘off-boat’ social fishing days at which members with boats have invited others to go fishing just out of Corinella. It is anticipated that social fishing days will be a regular club feature with fishing trips in the Anderson Inlet, Rhyll and Corinella.
  • INVY Fishing members are encouraged to contact other members when they go fishing whether it be land-based or off-boat and invite them to join them. To facilitate this, a contact list is available to members only of the club membership for those members who have authorised for this information to be shared.
  • On the third Sunday of every month at 6.00pm there is a members’ meeting which is held at the Warrawee Club in Inverloch. This is an opportunity for club members to get to know each-other and fully participate in the life of the club. It is hoped to be able to bring guest speakers to these meetings every two or three months.
  • There are many fishing charter boats operating in this part of the coast and this affords opportunities for the club to organise fishing charters for its members.
  • Fund raising activities such as BBQ’s, wine tasting events
  • In the near future INVY Fishing will be participating in competitive fishing events with other clubs
